Quote of the day
“The true measurement of a person’s worth isn’t what they say they believe in, but what they do in defence of those beliefs,” he said. “If you’re not acting on your beliefs, then they probably aren’t real.”
Glenn Greenwald
Here at the most beautiful world, the truth is spoken.
Maybe that’s why I went from having 800 visitors a year to 40 000 readers a year. The Truth is apparently rare haha. The truth is powerful. Nobody speaks it nowadays for fear of financial retaliation it seems in this world, or judgment, or both, or something else but who knows what it is.
You can turn it all off and go wander in the woods. You can follow your dream of becoming an independent journalist, right here, right now. I made this book for nobody, yet for everybody. If you are sick of living under an Orwellian global government and want to fight back, I provide a way to keep your online life minus the tracking and spying.
There was a time when people were laughing at the idea of letting the government spy our home. Now people are buyingmini-spying systems for their home that listen at all times whatever the dwellers say.
We reached peak-insanity, and the corporations are laughing at us.
It is a mystery to me that people are willing to sell their private life away by purchasing spying devices, such as a HomePod or Google Home or Amazon Echo. Am I the only one who thinks this is insane? How low can we go? I spent most of my early 20s reading Wikileaks and great books on privacy (The Black Code is great!).
We are going at an ever-increasing speed into a full Orwellian dystopian world and the mass embraces it. The Power That Be designed a school system that kills the critical mindset of the youth, that’s for sure.
I might be the only one in my 20s that sees a problem with the hemorrhage of personal data bleeding out of everybody’s online activity and cloaking up in a server room in China – but I’ll keep preaching up some sense.
But I’m not alone. Some guys also see the non-sense. Check out System 76, they make laptops for people in need of a high degree of privacy. Or https://puri.sm
People are slowly realizing that it is not okay to give access to governments. Well, maybe the 1%. And this is also a geographic peculiarity of Canada and the USA VS the rest of the world. In Canada, we love convenience at all costs. At all costs.
Where in other countries you are expected to not trust the government, here we are okay by passively proclaiming disagreement upon decision to limit our free speech. People are lazy – but they were conditioned to be so. Life is too easy in Canada. You cannot fail here. If you are willing to get out of bed and work, anyone can make a six digits salary and get a fancy car and a house with a big land. The Canadian dream is real…but there is a shadow to it.
This easiness is a curse.
We got complacent.
Meanwhile… Google listens.
Cheers,
JP
