What I am reading at the moment
Reading suggestion for November
I get my books at www.orbooks.com (non affiliated to them). After years of wondering where I could find these voices expressing non-mainstream opinions (say, something coming from Iran), I finally found the platform that stored amazing books. I got sick and tired of hearing always the same perspective and worldview that the mainstream world pushes down our throats (which is why I wrote in giant letters on my book PROUDLY NOT A NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER;)
Drinking Mare's Milk on the Roof of the World
WANDERING THE GLOBE FROM AZERBAIJAN TO ZANZIBAR
I am blown away by the quality of his writing. A Must. I’m at chapter one. Spectacular.
Inside Iran
THE REAL HISTORY AND POLITICS OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRA
I haven’t started this book yet… but it seems very interesting.
Exile
REJECTING AMERICA AND FINDING THE WORLD
I finished this book in 24 hours – so good, so good. Finally someone that gets it! I could have written this book –the idea is the same as Dancing After The Music Stops, but just from another perspective.
Exile was one of my favourite book of 2019. Easy read, and love the jaded tone of Belen (because I’m at that point in my life too).
Happy reading month!
