Update: Great article on LaPresse: Yes, they recorded a 50% increase in numbers. Interesting. So maybe Arruda didn’t mean what he meant on the 22/04? We need a journalist to ask for clarification.
Dr. Arruda, Quebec’s new hero.
Yep. Quebec’s most famous doctor made it clear at the provincial press conference of Tuesday: there’s no much difference between a Quebec struck by COVID19 and one that isn’t. How is the world did mainstream media are not going after this? We certainly need clarification on what Dr. Arruda meant.
Here’s the infamous quote: “Je voudrais aussi vous rappeler qu'à chaque année, en temps ordinaire, il y a environ 1 000 personnes par mois qui meurent dans les CHSLD. Et, dans le fond, il faut comprendre que des décès actuels qu'on comptabilise, associés au COVID-19, seraient survenus malgré la situation. “
Loose translation: “Let me remind it to you that each year, in normal time, there is around 1000 death per month in the CHSLD. And, after all, we need to understand that the deceased that we count associated to COVID19, would have occurred anyway.”
So… what now? What does that mean? What do you mean Arruda? Are we testing properly people that died from COVID19? Are we just classifying everybody that dies with a trace of COVID19 in their blood as “caused of death”? We need more transparency.
Why did no media go after that comment? This is huuuuuuuuuge. Basically, this is Quebec’s top officials admitting there wasn’t a pandemic. Numbers are similar this year than in 2019 or 2018…
I’ve been trying to prove over and over using Statistique Quebec and Stats Canada in the last few days’ articles this exact point! Yet people refuse to see reality for what it is.
Which is why this hot mic at the White House makes sense. Officials are realizing that we got conned into a fakedemic! The counter argument exists: Maybe there was one, but we won big time. The worst was avoided it seems. No matter the case: why are we still in house arrest? The counter-counter argument is the one of Sweden. They aren’t in a dire situation. They are flattened the curve without any lockdown. Yeah so…
Even Francois Legault, Quebec’s premier, said that 97% of the death in Quebec with (or from) COVID19 were above 60 years old: “Bon, d'abord vous dire, quand on regarde les décès jusqu'à présent, 97 % des décès sont des personnes de 60 ans et plus. “ (loose translation: So, let me tell you first, when we look at the death in Quebec to this day, 97% of the deceased were above 60 years old.”) Source.
On Wednesday’s rant (see this blog post), I flipped a table on this reality that nobody seems to take in consideration! People are dying at a normal rate in 2020 than the years before. There is no end-of-the-world pandemic. It is very similar to a bad flu season. That is all. Even a fucking lawyer in Quebec is suing the Quebec government over this lockdown. He is not crazy.
Why are the medias so dellusioned concerning the pandemic?
We got the doctor in charge of this crisis in Quebec saying that the numbers are on par with “normalcy”.
Why did we shut down Quebec? Was it necessarily to do so much, without any real data showing that a lockdown would work? Was it worth it to throw so many people into poverty? Was it the best thing to do?
I went over this over and over in the last few days. Now the government admits it: numbers are in the norm, and most of the deceased case would have occured anyway. I thought you should know.
