"Civil disobedience is not acceptable anymore" – Quebec's government going full retard
Pro tips: Never go full retard
This is the english version of an article done earlier in french.
TDLR: “When the government tells you: “do not do civil disobedience”, you can be sure that our rights are about to get fucked.”
Short extract of Denise–Mockingbird–Bombardier’s text in today’s copy of the JdM (source):
“We are all requisitioned as soldiers by those who govern us and who impose constraints which necessarily reduce our democratic rights.
Yes, we are mostly docile. Like soldiers, we allow ourselves to be led and commanded to fight individually and collectively the deadly virus.
We are fighting to live. We are no longer in a democracy as we have known it. Civil disobedience is no longer acceptable. "
Where to even start! When –and that you can absolutely be sure of– when a tyranic political party reigning under a self-imposed and non-legitimate decree tells us that civil disobedience is no longer acceptable, you can bet and go all in that the rights of the people are about to get screwed. That’s evident.
The province of Quebec therefore tells us –albeit not directly but rather through a state-sponsored propaganda media– that we are no longer in a democracy. It tells us that civil disobedience is no longer acceptable. This is the phrase of a government hell bent on oppressing us.
Secondly, we are not soldiers requisitioned by the state. Never. Never. This speech is absolutely crazy.
We are not the property of the state. This rhetoric is terribly dangerous. Plus ... we have nothing to fight against! The virus has a mortality rate between 0.03% (California) and 1% (Italy). It's not ebola!
Look at the figures! On April 29, a graph in Le Journal de Montreal was showing that among the death, 95% of them had one or more pre-existing conditions. Or as Dr. Arruda said, there would be 1000 deaths per month in CHSLD ANYWAY.
The government takes the people for idiots, nothing less. Madame Bombardier, what battle are you talking about? I only see one: that of tyranny. And you can bet that Quebec is ready to face it: it is in our veins, this resistance. We have been fighting assimilation for 400 years against the "English” villains and the corrupt Patronats. You sound like an emissary from England which told us not to resist in 1608 and to forget this revolt.
Well, Quebec was founded on this rebellion. Denise, the blood flowing in your veins comes from civil disobedience itself. Worse, you have the same tone as an agent sucking Himmler’s dick at the time of Hitler's Germany: “If you have a Jew at home, call the police. The time is not to disobey, but to be a soldier of the state. Please contact Mr. the Fuhrer! A Jew is dangerous to public health. Please comply. Now is not a time to disobey."
Madame Bombadier. Do you know how state-requisitioned soldier is called in history books?
The Gestapo.
Oops, it looks like you do not know your history... or that you are in a sort of state-sponsored conspiracy against the people of Quebec. Your comments are downright dangerous. Get out of your bubble. There is no crisis outside of CHSLDs. And there are measures to be taken most certainly, we all agree. At thes moment they are sadly disproportionate to the scale of the threat posed by COVID19. The government believes that all is permissible. However, they are wrong. The virus is no longer what we feared. The numbers are out. We have to end this deconfinement before we end up as a Chinese state.
Democracy is fading away and the best remedy is civil disobedience. I wonder if one day you will regret having participated in the precipitation of Quebec into an Orwellian and fascist state. As of today, we the people see that you are an agent of the Ministry of Propaganda. But make no mistake: Here, the people of Quebec are still masters at home. And when the people of Quebec decides to rebel against the authority, they are invincible and nothing can stop them.
We got 400 years of history to prove our point.
The fun is only getting started madame Bombardier.
As far as I know, we are still into a democracy.
Deal with it.
