”Remember James Cameron's "Avatar" film. The one about the brutish humans destroying an alien planet. There's one line that stands out in particular when I see all of the Covid-19 vaccine raffles and lotteries and other incentives. Companies paying bonuses, states making lotteries, time off community service, etc, etc. They're really rolling out all the stops to try and get the majority of people to take the shots. And that word is important "majority", we'll cover that in a bit. But now onto the line I'm referring to.
SELFRIDGE: Their damn village is sitting right over the richest unobtanium deposit for a hundred klicks in any direction. Which sucks for them because they need to relocate.
JAKE: (taking that in) Does Augustine know about this?
SELFRIDGE: Yeah, she does, and she's on the next ship back if she tries to cock-block me on it.
JAKE: So -- who talks them into moving?
QUARITCH: (turning) Guess.
JAKE: What if they won't go?
QUARITCH: (icy) I'm betting they will.
SELFRIDGE: Killing the indigenous looks bad, but there's one thing shareholders hate more than bad press -- and that's a bad quarterly statement. Find me a carrot to get them to move, or it's going to have to be all stick.
They aren't doing all this nice publicity to get people to take the vaccine just for fun and if people decide not to, they just turn around and say "aw shucks, I guess we'll actually address the root problems in our society now." These lotteries and incentives are them doubling down on the same mentality they have been presenting for so many years and decades, control and domination. Dominate through 24 hour persuasion. Chip off as many unvaccinated people as possible to get those numbers up to an acceptable percentage, an undeniable majority. And that's when the carrot goes away for the minority left, and the stick comes out in the open. Create a new class system of vaccinated and unvaccinated and then pit them against each other. Use the power of the majority to justify widespread surveillance and policing and persecution of un vaccinated individuals. Drive them to the edge of society and vaccinate them by force or outright kill them in the darkness of blind subservience provided by the majority.
Good news though. They haven't reached that magic number yet, and hence that is why they still are using the carrots. And this many carrots lmao, they are desperate. They don't want all out war, it would upend their business and their lifestyles. So for now, they'll do mass propaganda with every means they have available to steadily increase their numbers, day by day. And if their numbers keep increasing steadily, just know the stick is coming. Conversely, if they're numbers do not increase, know there is a good chance they'll get really desperate and do something stupid to blindly try and tip the scales. They'll get sloppy and it'll get messy. Their corruption and psychopathy will become more evident each day they fail to meet their numbers. That will turn more people against them and they'll become even more rabid. Either way, get ready mentally, physically, and spiritually for the fight of your life. It's already here, you're already in it.”
Right now, they are bribing you to take an experimental gene therapy in exchange of free fries, or free donuts.
