The Most Beautiful World

New overlanding rig!

When the house deal fell through due to mold and water damage (well, thank God for the inspector!), I felt lost. After years of overlanding the world, I felt sooooo ready to settle down a bit. Well… we are whatever we pretend to be… and so I decided to double down on the nomad lifestyle! After all, aren’t we all voyagers swirling on the eddies of this holofractal reality? We are indeed.

Here’s my new overlander’s rig:

New rig!

I decided to build the ultimate overlanding machine. This is a GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab with a regular box (6.5 feet) and with the All Terrain package. It includes a rancho lift 2” lift kit, a rear lock diff, some skid plates and some esthetic add-on. I drove 5000 kms so far with it, averaging an extraordinary 12L/100 km (it has the 5.3L V8). Unreal for the size of this truck (20 feet)

I plan to write The Architect Of The Better World in it: I am converting the back in a camper. I’ll be touring the USA and Canada in 2020 to interview some people… and give them a place in the book, à la Tools of The Giants by Tim Ferriss. Instead of writing about a materialistic point of view, it’ll go on a spiritual level. If you know any actual architects of The Better World that I should contact, let me know!

Me sea kayaking.

That is it for updates.

I am touring Canada until the US restriction lift off.

Much love,

JP
