Another day, another camera hehe. I could not skip this QL19: saw it for sale in Singapore for a $100USD, with original leather case. Mint conditions. Bought a film with it and went street shooting around Clarke Quay in Singapore.

The first roll is already getting developed. Tomorrow I shall have the result. We will see how good the metering is: that’s a surprise.

So far, my first impression of the Canon QL19 is good! I absolutely like how silent the shutter is…Coming from a loud DSLR shutter sound (Nikon Df), this Canon feels as silent as a monk.

This is my first range-finder. I’m still getting used to the focusing system.

I love how the camera doesn’t get in your way…with a ISO 400 film, set the focus to infinity and just shoot. The camera will be between f/5.6 and f/11, in daylight. No need of a $1500 Leica M3: The 45mm f/1.9 front lens is all you’ll ever need.

Result tomorrow, so stay tuned.
